  1. No Legal, Medical, Academic, Financial, or Publishing Advice

Our services are writing, editing, formatting, publishing-support, and marketing-support services only. We do not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, academic, or professional advice.

Any content created in legal, medical, business, academic, or technical fields must be reviewed and approved by the client and, where necessary, by qualified professionals. The client remains responsible for the accuracy, compliance, and final use of all content.

Publishing assistance does not guarantee acceptance by any publisher, platform, literary agent, bookstore, distributor, media outlet, or marketing channel.

  1. Client Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and timely information.
  • Review drafts, outlines, samples, and deliverables carefully.
  • Provide feedback within the required review period.
  • Ensure that materials you provide are legally owned by you or properly licensed.
  • Avoid submitting plagiarized, defamatory, unlawful, confidential third-party, or infringing material.
  • Use our services only for lawful purposes.
  • Make payments according to agreed terms.
  • Communicate respectfully with our team, writers, editors, designers, and support staff.

You are responsible for confirming that the final work meets your intended purpose before publication, submission, printing, distribution, or marketing.

  1. Project Scope and Deliverables

The project scope will be defined before work begins. This may include word count, number of pages, number of chapters, design files, formatting files, editing level, publishing support, marketing support, or other deliverables.

Any work outside the agreed scope may require a new quote or additional payment. Examples of out-of-scope requests may include:

  • Significant change in book direction after approval.
  • New chapters or major content additions.
  • Additional interviews or research beyond the agreed scope.
  • Rewriting after final approval.
  • Platform-specific formatting not originally included.
  • Additional cover concepts, illustrations, website pages, or marketing assets.
  1. Client Review and Approval

Clients may be asked to review outlines, samples, chapters, design concepts, formatted files, or other milestones. Approval of a milestone allows the project to move forward.

If a client approves a stage and later requests major changes to that approved stage, the request may be treated as additional work and may require additional fees.

If a client does not respond within the requested review period, we may pause the project, extend the timeline, or proceed based on the last approved direction.

  1. Revisions Policy

Revisions are intended to refine agreed deliverables, not to create a new project direction.

Revision terms may vary depending on the service or package purchased. Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • Revisions must relate to the original approved scope.
  • Revision requests must be clear, specific, and consolidated.
  • Revisions caused by a client’s new direction, missing information, or late changes may incur extra charges.
  • Revisions requested after final approval may require additional payment.
  • Unlimited revisions, where offered, apply only within the agreed scope and active project period.

We reserve the right to reject revision requests that are abusive, unclear, contradictory, unlawful, or outside the original scope.

  1. Payments, Deposits, and Billing

All pricing will be communicated before the project begins. Payment may be required in full or in installments, depending on the agreed package.

Work may not begin until the required payment, deposit, or installment is received. Missed, delayed, disputed, or reversed payments may result in project suspension, timeline extension, withholding of deliverables, or termination of services.

The client is responsible for all agreed fees, applicable taxes, bank charges, transaction fees, payment gateway fees, and any costs connected to failed or reversed payments.

  1. Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all services provided by Hire A Ghostwriter Now unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

9.1 Processing Fee Deduction

All approved refunds are subject to deduction of necessary processing fees, payment gateway charges, transaction fees, administrative costs, or other non-recoverable charges.

This means that even if a complete refund is approved, the final refund amount may be reduced by applicable processing charges.

9.2 Complete Refunds

A complete refund may be considered only when the client is dissatisfied with the service delivery and the issue cannot be reasonably resolved through revision, correction, replacement, or management review.

A complete refund will not be issued automatically. The client must provide a clear explanation of the service concern, and the matter will be reviewed internally.

9.3 Change of Heart

A change of heart, change of mind, change in personal plans, loss of interest, budget reconsideration, decision not to publish, or decision to stop the project for reasons unrelated to service delivery will not be accepted as a standard reason for refund.

Such matters may be escalated for review, but any refund in these cases will be at the sole discretion of management.

9.4 Refunds After Project Initiation

If the project has already been initiated and the client chooses to discontinue services before completion, the refund will be calculated based on the portion of work already completed.

For example, if 50% of the project work has been completed, only 50% of the eligible project amount may be considered for refund, minus applicable processing fees and charges.

Work completed may include, but is not limited to:

  • Consultation time
  • Research
  • Planning
  • Outlining
  • Writing
  • Editing
  • Proofreading
  • Formatting
  • Design work
  • Publishing preparation
  • Project management
  • Administrative coordination
  • Internal writer/editor/designer assignments

9.5 Non-Refundable Items

The following may be non-refundable once work has started or costs have been incurred:

  • Payment processing fees
  • Administrative fees
  • Consultation fees
  • Research time
  • Approved milestones
  • Completed writing or editing work
  • Completed formatting work
  • Completed design concepts or illustrations
  • Purchased stock images, fonts, licenses, ISBNs, platform charges, or third-party tools
  • Publishing fees paid to third-party platforms
  • Marketing expenses already spent
  • Rush fees
  • Custom work already delivered

9.6 Refund Request Process

To request a refund, the client must contact us in writing at:

Email: [email protected]

The request should include:

  • Client name
  • Project name
  • Service purchased
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for refund request
  • Specific issue with the service delivery
  • Any supporting documents or examples

We may request additional information before making a decision.

9.7 Refund Review Timeline

Refund requests will be reviewed within a reasonable business period after receiving complete information from the client. The review may include project status, completed work, payment history, communication records, milestone approvals, and service delivery details.

If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method where possible. Processing times may vary depending on banks, card networks, payment processors, or financial institutions.

9.8 Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Clients are encouraged to contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. If a chargeback is filed without first allowing us to review the issue, we reserve the right to suspend services, stop delivery of files, submit evidence to the payment processor, and recover any costs associated with the dispute.

  1. Cancellations

A client may request cancellation by contacting us in writing. Cancellation does not automatically qualify the client for a full refund.

If cancellation occurs after the project has started, the refund, if any, will be calculated according to the Refund Policy above. If cancellation occurs before work begins, refund eligibility will still be subject to processing fee deductions and any administrative work already performed.

  1. Timelines and Delivery

Project timelines are estimates unless expressly stated as guaranteed in writing. Timelines may be affected by:

  • Client response delays
  • Scope changes
  • Missing information
  • Revision requests
  • Payment delays
  • Third-party platform delays
  • Technical issues
  • Force majeure events

We are not responsible for delays caused by client inaction, late feedback, incomplete information, or third-party platforms.

  1. Intellectual Property Ownership

12.1 Final Deliverables

Upon full payment of all amounts owed, ownership rights to the final approved deliverables created specifically for the client will be transferred to the client, unless otherwise stated in writing.

12.2 Drafts and Internal Materials

We may retain ownership of internal notes, unused concepts, drafts, research compilations, outlines, administrative materials, templates, workflows, and internal tools unless specifically included as final deliverables.

12.3 Unpaid Work

If payment is incomplete, delayed, reversed, disputed, or charged back, we reserve the right to withhold final files and retain ownership or control of unpaid deliverables until payment is resolved.

12.4 Third-Party Materials

Some projects may include third-party elements such as stock images, fonts, templates, publishing platforms, plug-ins, or licensed assets. These may be subject to separate third-party license terms. The client is responsible for complying with those terms after delivery.

  1. Confidentiality

We treat client ideas, manuscripts, notes, drafts, recordings, interviews, documents, and communications as confidential.

We will not intentionally disclose client materials except:

  • To team members, writers, editors, designers, or contractors involved in the project
  • To service providers needed for delivery
  • Where required by law
  • With the client’s permission
  • To enforce our rights or defend against claims

Clients are also expected to treat our internal processes, pricing, drafts, communication, proposals, and proprietary materials as confidential.

  1. Use of Client Work in Portfolio

We will not use a client’s name, manuscript, book cover, testimonial, project details, or completed work in our portfolio, marketing materials, website, or case studies without client permission.

If the client gives written permission, the approved use will be limited to the scope of that permission.

  1. Accuracy, Approval, and Final Responsibility

The client is responsible for reviewing and approving all final content before use, publication, submission, printing, distribution, or marketing.

This includes checking:

  • Dates
  • Events
  • Quotes
  • Claims
  • Citations
  • Legal statements

We are not liable for errors, omissions, claims, or consequences after the client approves and uses final deliverables.

  • Designed to impersonate another person without authorization
  • Intended to violate academic, legal, professional, or institutional rules
  • Intended to deceive publishers, platforms, readers, or authorities

We reserve the right to reject or terminate any project that violates these Terms.

  1. Academic Integrity

Where academic-related services are offered, they are intended for lawful assistance such as editing, proofreading, formatting, research organization, writing guidance, or model/reference support where permitted.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that use of any academic support complies with their school, university, institution, publisher, supervisor, or governing body’s rules. We do not accept responsibility for academic penalties, rejection, disciplinary action, or misuse of delivered materials.
